Education Redesigned
Interactive European School

We strive to make children confident and creative builders of their future, through an inspiring, broad and engaging curriculum. Fun, creativity, engagement, independent learning, curiosity, critical thinking and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.

Our pupils are encouraged to meet academic challenges with openness, enthusiasm, and a willingness to solve problems in an atmosphere of cooperation, care, trust and respect.

Studies have shown that bilingual children and children that have the opportunity to become bilingual are more creative and better at planning and solving complex problems, compared to monolingual children.

School subjects are taught both in the Greek and English language via the CLIL (Content & Language Integrated Learning), without requiring extra teaching hours.

The first school in Athens that combines the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, with the prestigious International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), which aims to prepare students to be active participants in a lifelong journey of learning.

The IB Programme is committed to inquiry-based learning and at the center of the curriculum are five essential elements: knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and action.

Our methodology

Differentiated Learning
Every student makes optimum use of their individualities and talents.
Blended Learning

Spernovasili Family
If inspiration and creativity were painted on the face of young happy children, this would surely refer to the children of DES. If all "young children’s" schools had this brilliance, taste, stimuli offered by DES, our world would be a better place!!! With infinite love for the DES team.
